Common Banks, their Brands and types of customers

Banks often offer different levels of services based on factors such as the volume or size of a consumer's business or banking requirements. This additional complexity can sometimes make it confusing when giving consent to share data with an Accredited Data Recipient (ADR) like ACSISS.

However, it's important to note that regardless of the services provided by a bank, they are still required to comply with the Consumer Data Right (CDR).

To help navigate this, the following tables provide details on the terms commonly used by banks, along with the corresponding names on the CDR Data Holder register. We have also included links to the specific CDR help pages provided by each bank. The "Available" column indicates any insights that SISS has gathered regarding the availability of data from these banks.

Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA)

Other brands linked to CBA include:

National Australia Bank (NAB)

NAB Connect users are not the users who give consent, rather individuals must have a NAB Internet Banking (IB) login. The individual’s login needs to be associated with the business and more specifically have the required Business Account(s) nominated. Please contact NAB to set this up, see the above link and the Internet Banking and Telephone Banking Authorised User Nomination form may be required to associate (nominate) the individual to the business account(s).

Westpac Banking Corporation (WBC)

Other brands linked to WBC include:

Australia and New Zealand Bank (ANZ)

Other brands linked to ANZ include:

Macquarie Bank

Macquarie Bank allows advisors (for example Accountants, Financial Planners, Lawyers) a wide range of functionality to establish, manage and transact on behalf of their clients via a specific Adviser portal. At this stage they have not extended the functionality for advisers to give consent to share data.

The myBoQ mobile app and related bank accounts are considered BoQ accounts and available by selecting Bank of Queensland from the list of banks

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited
