Summary

This release introduces improvements to the Connect Bank wizard, streamlining the bank account connection process through reduced manual input steps and updated authentication. It also adds new administrator controls for how the Statement Ending Balance is populated on Bank Reconciliations.

🆕 New Features

Connect Bank Wizard

• The company ABN is now automatically sourced from Company Information and passed during the consent flow, removing the need for manual entry

• A default email address can be configured on the ACSISS Bank Feeds Setup page and is pre-populated in the Connect Bank wizard. The field is also populated automatically from previous bank connections

• Historical transaction data collected when connecting a new bank account is limited to 14 days

• Multi-factor authentication (MFA) app verification has been replaced with email one-time password (OTP) authentication. This applies to new customer sign-up, portal sign-in, and new bank account connections. No configuration is required

Bank Feeds Setup

• A new Statement Ending Balance Option field is available in the Options group on the ACSISS Bank Feeds Setup page. This controls how the Statement Ending Balance is populated when ACSISS creates a Bank Reconciliation. Available options:

  • Leave Blank — field is left at zero for manual entry (default for new installs)

  • Use Last Closing Balance — calculated as the prior closing balance plus imported transaction amounts

  • Use ACSISS EOD Balance — set to the end-of-day balance reported by the bank (default for existing customers on upgrade)

Upgrade Behaviour

New error code added: ACSISS-0013 (Info) — logged when the Statement Balance Option is set to Use ACSISS EOD Balance during upgrade.

Important Notes

• Historical transactions collected at connection time are chargeable. Review usage and connectivity plans before connecting new accounts.
